Protesters Hold New Silent Marches in Rouen After Music Fan Dies Amid Clashes With Police (Video)

People previously held a march of silence in Nantes on Saturday to honour the memory of Steve Maia Canico, who allegedly died during a music festival in June amid a police raid that resulted in clashes with techno fans.

The protests come after at least 34 people were detained on Saturday at a rally decrying police violence in Nantes, France.
The body of Canico, who drowned in the Loire River, was retrieved on Monday, prompting accusations against law enforcement, because he disappeared when festival-goers were allegedly forced into the river by police.
