Auschwitz Commemorates 75th Anniversary Since Liberation by Soviet Army - Video

Auschwitz was a complex of concentration camps that was established by Nazi Germany in 1940 and liberated by the Red Army on 27 January 1945. During the war, countless prisoners were killed in the facility – with the number of victims varying from one to four million people.

A commemoration ceremony on the 75th anniversary of the camp's liberation by Soviet soldiers is being held at Auschwitz, near the Polish city of Oswiecim. Over 100 Holocaust survivors from the US, Canada, Israel, and other countries are attending the event.
