5.2-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Western Turkey - AFAD

Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) stated on Tuesday that a 5.2-magnitude earthquake hit the town of Kırkağaç, western Turkey at around 19:09 pm local time.

No information on casualties or damage has been reported so far.

5.8-Magnitude Quake Hits Iran's Qeshm Island in the Gulf - EMSC
The day before, a 4.2-magnitude earthquake hit the Sivrice region of Elazig Province in eastern Turkey at around 14:42 local time.

The tremors come two weeks after a strong 6.8-magnitude quake hit Elazig Province, affecting the neighbouring province of Malatya.

According to AFAD, 228 aftershocks of magnitude 4.0 or higher were recorded in the aftermath of the earthquake.
