The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has reported a 5.0-magnitude earthquake in the region between Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh state.
The earthquake occurred at around 20:34 IST (15:04 GMT) with the epicentre lying at the depth of 20 kilometres.
No details on casualties or damage have been disclosed yet.
