Donald Trump, White House Task Force Hold Presser on COVID-19 Pandemic - Video

On Thursday, the number of US deaths caused by the COVID-19 pandemic surpassed 47,000, with over 850,000 cases registered throughout the country, according to data posted by the Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Resource Centre.

US President Donald Trump, alongside his White House Coronavirus Task Force, is holding a press briefing in Washington, DC.

During the Wednesday briefing, Trump announced that he had signed an executive order to temporarily halt the immigration of some applicants to the United States for a period two months.

The United States currently leads the world in the number of reported COVID-19 deaths and confirmed cases. Currently there are over 2.6 million COVID-19 cases around the world and more than 185,000 deaths, according to updated data.
