Indian Military Jet Crashes in Punjab

This is not the first aircraft incident in the district. Last month, an Apache helicopter had to make an emergency landing following a technical glitch.

An Indian Air Force fighter jet has crashed in the Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, according to police. Sources suggest the crew managed to survive the crash. The military has confirmed the incident, stating that the MiG-29 aircraft was on a training mission when the pilot lost control of the plane and had to eject. He was later rescued by a military helicopter, the statement said.

A video circulating on Twitter allegedly depicts the site of the crash. It shows people roaming about near the fiery remains of a plane, while a cloud of smoke billows into the sky from the debris, scattered in the field.
