YG Entertainment announced on 11 May on its SNS accounts that the documentary “White Night” about the life of the main vocalist of the legendary K-pop boy band BIGBANG, Tayeang, will soon be released.

Starting from 18 May, the singer's birthday, it will be aired on the official YG YouTube Channel for four weeks with two episodes every Monday and Tuesday.

The documentary recorded in a total of 215 days tracks the singer from the preparation of his solo album under the same name to his enlistment in the military in 2017. He went on a solo world tour with the release of this album, and went on his mandatory service after his wedding the following year.

Ever since Taeyang was discharged from the military in November last year, VIPs (the official name for the fandom of BIGBANG) have been craving any sign of activity from their favs, especially as the comeback of the legends at Coachella this year as four-member group was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The 5th member of the group Seungri left the entertainment industry in 2019 in light of the Burning Sun scandal and is currently in the army.

VIPs are flattered that they will have their fav’s release right on his birthday and to have #Taeyang trending.
