"The court has chosen placement in custody as the interim measure", he said, adding that the man will be held until 23 July.

The man stormed into an office of Russia's Alfa Bank on Zemlyanoy Val street in Moscow, saying he had a bomb and threatening to blow up the building. He was apprehended later without casualties.

The attacker has acknowledged his actions, saying he wanted to know some unspecified "truth". His psychological health will be evaluated by experts.
