Sputnik presents its live broadcast of a protest outside a Nissan plant in Barcelona after the company has announced its plans to close its plants in Spain and Indonesia.

According to Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida, the move to close the plant is part of the company's global restructuring plan.

The car maker's decision is expected to result in the loss of some 3,000 direct jobs.
