Paris Citizens Enjoy City Parks as They Reopen Amid Eased COVID-19 Lockdown - Video

The day before, the Louvre's administration announced that one of France's most famous museums, which closed on 13 March due to the coronavirus pandemic, was planning to reopen on 6 July.

Live from the Buttes Chaumont park in northeastern Paris this Saturday, following the decision by the city's mayor Anne Hidalgo to reopen parks again amid the country's general easing of the national lockdown.

As almost all of France's regions have been downgraded to green status, allowing bars and cafes to resume their work, only the Ile de France, including Paris, still has orange status.

According to the latest data updated by the World Health Organisation as of 29 May, France has more than 146,000 confirmed coronavirus cases with more than 28,000 deaths.
