The Swiss authorities are searching for a person who left a bag containing three kilograms of gold, worth $191,000, on a train in Switzerland, the BBC reported Sunday.

The incident reportedly took place in October last year as the bag was left in a carriage between St. Gallen and Lucerne. However, the authorities have decided to make the information public in a bid to find the owner.

The owner has five years to stake their claim at the prosecutor's office in Lucerne, an official statement said. At the same time, it's still unknown, how they would verify the claim of ownership.
