Protesters Hold Rally in Paris Against Racial Violence and Police Brutality - Video

Protests against the disproportionate use of force by police have swept across the globe in the wake of the killing of an African-American former convict, George Floyd, in Minneapolis at the hands of a law enforcement officer.

Tune in to Sputnik's livestream from Place de la République in Paris, where demonstrators are holding a rally dedicated to the death of a 25-year-old Franco-Senegalese man, Lamine Dieng, who died in police custody in 2007.

According to Le Figaro, the European Court of Human Rights said on Monday that Paris will pay 145,000 euros to the relatives of Lamine Dieng in order to settle any prosecution in this case.
