The day before, Dutch lawyer Boudewijn van Eijck, representing Russian national Oleg Pulatov, one of the defendants in the MH17 case, stated that NATO did not provide satellite data from the crash site to the Dutch Military Intelligence and Security Service (MIVD), but this does not mean that the alliance does not have it.

The criminal trial to prosecute four suspects over their alleged responsibility for the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 resumes at the Schiphol Judicial Complex (JCS) in Badhoevedorp, the Netherlands, on Tuesday.

Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 crashed on 17 July 2014, in eastern Ukraine while en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, killing all 298 people aboard.

The accident is being investigated by Dutch prosecutors and the Dutch-led Joint Investigation Team, which claims that the plane was hit by a Russian Buk missile. Moscow has repeatedly denied involvement in the incident.
