King of Monsoon: Watch Indian Lion 'Welcome Rain' With Roar

New Delhi (Sputnik): Monsoon showers and thunderous dark clouds come as a delight and welcome relief to people in India roasting in 40-50 degree Celsius summer heat. The happiness of the magical, romantic season is not limited to humans. Elephants loitering in mud, peacocks dancing, and lions roaring during the season are obvious proof of that.

Perched on the top of a cliff, a stunning maned lion roared looking up at the dark skies over the lush forest of the Gir wildlife sanctuary in India's Gujarat.

In a rare video, the lion can be seen roaring several times before coming down from the cliff and moving forward into the jungle.

Twitter users were ecstatic to watch the video and one even compared it to the mascot of MGM, the Hollywood film studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
