Magnitude 3.0 Earthquake Hits English Channel Near Coast of Sussex

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the epicentre was located at a depth of 4.3 miles (7 km), 35 km south of Camber and less than 50 km away from Eastbourne, which are situated on Sussex's coast.

An earthquake hit the English Channel this morning near Britain's coastline. According to preliminary reports, the tremor occurred at around 9 a.m., some 30 miles from Eastbourne. The quake is considered to be minor, and no victims or damages have been reported so far.
