UN-Backed Tribunal Delivers Ruling on Killing of Ex-Lebanese PM Hariri

Former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, who symbolised the reconstruction of the country following the 1975-1990 civil war, was killed on 14 February 2005 in a bomb attack on his motorcade.

A UN-backed tribunal has gathered this Tuesday to deliver its ruling on the killing of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

The four suspects, affiliated with Hezbollah, are being tried in absentia for the terror act that besides the politician killed 21 others and injured 226 more people in Beirut in 2005.
