Earlier, US President Donald Trump had declared a state of emergency in the state of Florida due to the approaching Hurricane Sally, that has been raging off the US coast for several days.

Sputnik presents its live feed from Mobile River, Alabama as Hurricane Sally approaches the state on Wednesday, bringing strong wind and heavy rains.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) warned on Tuesday that the hurricane, the second storm to bear down on the US coast of the Gulf of Mexico within three weeks, could bring historic, "extreme life-threatening" floods to the region.

Hurricane Sally is the 18th named storm in the Atlantic this year, according to NHC records.
