People gathered outside the Supreme Court building in Washington DC this Sunday, 27 September, to demand that US Senators wait until after the inauguration of a new president to confirm a new justice.

Organisers are calling on the Senators to prioritise the more acute problems, such as COVID-19 relief, and tackling the problems of gun violence and the demands of the BLM movement.

Former US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died on 18 September at the age of 87 in her home in Washington DC due to complications from metastatic pancreatic cancer.
