Protesters Rally in Berlin Against Eviction of Liebig34 Squat - Video

The house in the Friedrichshain district of the German capital originally became a squatters' residence on 30 June 1990, soon after the fall of the Berlin wall. Previous protests last week gathered thousands of citizens, demonstrating against a decision to evict the project.

People rally in Berlin to protest against the eviction of an "anarchist-queer-feminist" collective housing project also known as the Liebig34 squat. Earlier in June, a regional court granted the owner's eviction suit against the residents, confirming the order on 15 September.
