The Saudi-led coalition said in a statement that it had intercepted an explosive-laden drone launched by Yemen's Houthi Movement, Saudi state TV reported.
The coalition forces destroyed the drone, which was "systematically and deliberately" targeting civilians in the Kingdom, spokesman Colonel Turki Al-Malki said.
A day before, an airstrike was launched by the Houthis against Abha International Airport in Asir Province in southern Saudi Arabia, according to Houthi spokesman Yahya Saria.
Prior to that, another drone attack on southern Saudi Arabia left one local resident injured and damaged five buildings and three civilian vehicles, according to the General Directorate of the Saudi Civil Defence.
The cross-border violence continues despite a call for peace by the UN chief who urged the warring parties to put aside their differences amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
