'Leaving Sinking Ship': Netizens Rage as FLOTUS' Aide Grisham Resigns Amid Capitol Drama

Stephanie Grisham has served as Melania Trump's Chief of Staff and press secretary since April 2020 after quitting her stint as the White House press secretary - a time that was characterised by a paucity of press conferences and her never holding a briefing.

Stephanie Grisham, a top aide for the First Lady of the US, Melania Trump, has announced her resignation via Twitter, just under a fortnight before the new US administration is due to be sworn in.

In the post, Grisham said she was honoured to have served the county and proud to have been a part of Melania's mission to help children.

Though she did not say exactly why she was departing, many Twitter users were riled by the fact that she chose to announce her resignation just hours after the US Capitol was stormed by pro-Trump protesters, with the ensuing scuffles resulting in the death of four people.
