German Chancellor Angela Merkel has confessed that she has to live without a hairdresser amid the coronavirus lockdown, just like any other German and has to ask for help from her assistant to have her hair styled.
"Of course, we adhere to all the hygiene requirements", the chancellor said. "And the fact that one slowly turns grey is something one has to live with. So I'm looking forward to hairdressers being able to open again".

At the moment, hairdressing salons in Germany are closed just like any other non-essential business due to strict lockdown rules imposed by the Merkel government. Group assembly in the country is limited to one household plus one external person. Germans have been prohibited from using self-made face masks in public transport and stores.
