Situation Outside Windsor Castle as Britain is Mourning Prince Philip

The husband of Queen Elizabeth II underwent heart surgery earlier this year and also received medical treatment due to an unnamed infection, spending almost a month in hospital before he was discharged.

Britons are bringing flowers to the royal residence, while gun salutes are held across the country to honour the late prince-consort. The Royal Family has no plans to hold a state funeral or lying-in-state ceremony.
