/ "The validation batches of Sputnik V were sent to the Gamaleya research centre for the quality control," the press release added.
Sputnik V was developed by Russia's Gamaleya research institute in August 2020, becoming the world's first registered vaccine against COVID-19. According to researchers, it shows over 91.6% efficacy against the novel coronavirus and has been authorised in 69 countries so far.
