Wildfires Rage Near Turkish Resort Town of Marmaris

Wildfires broke out last week, affecting at least 35 Turkish provinces, chiefly on the Mediterranean and Aegean coasts.

Live from Marmaris, Turkey as wildfires continue to rage close to the coastal city, forcing the evacuation of residents and tourists.
An extreme heatwave has only exacerbated the crisis; the fires have already killed eight people.
Earlier, Turkish Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli said that 125 of the fires have been extinguished and seven others remain out of control in the provinces of Antalya and Mugla, known for their resorts.
