UN Security Council Convenes to Discuss Situation in Afghanistan

The militants have boosted their activities in the country, attacking government troops amid a withdrawal of American forces and their allies. The pull-out, which is supposed to be finalised this month, is in accordance with agreements signed by Washington and the Taliban in Doha in February 2020.
