On 10 August, Belarus suspended negotiations on all new joint projects and programmes with the United States government until the restoration of trust between the two countries.
In August, the United States targeted the country's National Olympic Committee as well as entities in the tobacco, construction, and energy sectors in its latest round of sanctions against Minsk.
