Everyday Life in Post-War Kabul

It has been more than a month since the last American officer left Kabul International airport. Here's what the country's capital and its largest city looks like now.

Since the Taliban* seized control of Afghanistan, everyday life in the country has changed drastically, as the movement has its own hardline views on how the people's daily routine should be organised.
But the very essence of life remains untouched, and the Afghan people are striving to cherish every single day, keeping in mind Rudyard Kipling's exhortation to "fill the unforgiving minute with sixty seconds’ worth of distance run".
Kabul - the city honoured by its sons and daughters who refuse to repine but steadfastly carry on their daily responsibilities and try to repair their war-ravaged economy. Kabul - the incarnation of an ancient bazaar which stands against vulgar modernity. Kabul - the city which survived years of poverty and humiliation, but where life stoically continues.
