Shoigu Inspects Russia's Forward Command Post in South Donetsk Area

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu conducted a working visit to the area of Moscow's military operation in Ukraine. There, he inspected a forward command post belonging to the Battlegroup Vostok in the South Donetsk direction, the Defense Ministry stated on Wednesday.

"During a working visit to the zone of the special military operation, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, General of the Army, Sergei Shoigu, inspected a forward command post of Russia's Battlegroup Vostok in the South Donetsk direction," the ministry said in a statement.
The top Russian military official listened to the reports by the battlegroup's commander on the current situation on the frontline and the fulfillment of tasks by Russian forces in the main tactical directions, the statement added.
The briefing given to the top military brass also included updates on troop readiness for winter operations and providing units with strike and reconnaissance systems, and trained specialists.
Russian officers and service members reported to the defense chief about the successful decimation of Ukraine's M777 artillery systems. Earlier, the MoD reported that Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jets had been downed in the DPR and the Kirovgrad Region.
According to official information, the Russian army destroyed Ukrainian troops and equipment in 109 regions thanks to the use of drones, missiles and artillery power.
After the meeting, Shoigu stressed that over the last 3–4 weeks, a massive amount of Ukrainian troops have been captured or surrendered voluntarily, and these POWs have revealed in detail the low morale plaguing the Ukrainian military. Moreover, the defense chief, added that Ukrainian army's prospects are running out. Further reports revealed that the enemy is “in panic.”
