SOCHI, August 14 (RIA Novosti) - Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will participate in the UN General Assembly session in September, presidential aide Sergei Prikhodko told journalists on Friday.
This will be Medvedev's first appearance at the United Nations and his second visit to the United States as president.
"During his visit to the US in September, the Russian president will participate in the UN General Assembly session on September 23-24 and then meet with the Group of 20 leaders on September 25," Prikhodko said.
Then-president Vladimir Putin attended the 60th annual session of the UN General Assembly in 2005.
