Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of the Facebook social networking site, arrived in Moscow on Monday and met with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. Copyright protection was one of the issues discussed.
Medvedev believes that copyright owners can be allowed to determine the extent of copyright protection and that if no online copyright is determined then this content can be used freely.
The Russian Prime Minister noted that social networking services had become very popular in Russia, and that Facebook was contributing to this process.
Before his meeting with Medvedev, Zuckerberg strolled across Red Square and central Moscow with Yekaterina Skorobogatova, Facebook’s representative in Russia and the CIS.
