Lithuania's State Security Department (VSD) recently issued a report urging journalists, public figures and the general public not to cooperate with the Sputnik news agency.

The VSD report claims that Sputnik, a news agency allegedly "designed to disseminate Russian propaganda", seeks to establish hubs in Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, and will likely "attempt to present Lithuania as a country intolerant toward its national minorities."
