McFaul's Suggestion to Accredit Sputnik, RT as Foreign Agents Illegal
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of the Sputnik news agency and the RT broadcaster, on Tuesday offered former US ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul to host a pilot episode of his own show on RT.

"Let's do it! Can you do a pilot?" Simonyan wrote in her Twitter in response to McFaul, who tweeted earlier in the day that he had not received any reply yet on his offer to host a show on RT.

McFaul then said to Simonyan that the RT US team could reach him by email.

"Waiting for a pilot," Simonyan tweeted to McFaul and RT.

McFaul also said that he would work for RT for free.

On December 10, in his column for the Washington Post newspaper, McFaul questioned whether RT and Sputnik should be considered foreign agents or not, given their coverage of the US 2016 election, which, according to McFaul, showed support for Donald Trump.
