The incredible footage has been captured in Tewantin, on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, Australia, where snakes usually eat birds, not vice versa.
In the video, the bird casually seats on the fence with the snake held in its beak, as the reptile continues to struggle. The snake can almost be mistaken for a giant worm, yet it served as a good lunch for the kookaburra. The Australian Reptile Park has remarked that snakes are sometimes really and truly hunted by kookaburras.
