The report said that the coalition forces unlawfully used white phosphorous munitions on civilian neighborhoods in the outskirts of Raqqa.
A series of US-coalition strikes on a farm northwest of Raqqa killed 14 members of a family – eight women, one man and five children – and severely wounded two other children, according to Amnesty International.
The rights group documented the cases of four families who provided “prima facie evidence that several coalition attacks which killed and injured civilians violated international humanitarian law.”
The report mentioned a few more similar incidents in which the coalition forces did not take into account civilians when carrying out attacks on Raqqa and the surrounding areas.
During the battle for Raqqa, Daesh terrorists made it difficult for the coalition offensive to avoid civilian deaths by operating among them and using them as human shields, Amnesty said.
Amnesty called on the coalition and member-states to recognize the scale of the destruction, to make public necessary information for an independent investigation in order to make compensation to victims.

In early April, the Russian Defense Ministry released aerial footage of the bombing of Raqqa by the US-led coalition, saying that as a result of the airstrikes, "thousands of bodies of civilians that decompose and taint the groundwater are under the rubble."
