13:21 GMT 03.11.2018 (Updated: 12:21 GMT 06.08.2022) The stone could be a part of an annual Taurid meteor shower, which is famous for producing up to ten meteors per hour in an astonishing display of cosmic beauty.
An orange meteor with a green tail stone was spotted and even filmed above Alabama and Arkansas on Friday night. According to the National Weather Service Birmingham Alabama Twitter account, the extraterrestrial stone fell from the sky and landed near a US National Weather Service station at Shelby County Airport.
In Arkansas, Little Rock news station KARK also reported the event.
