According to court documents, cited by AP, Huffman paid $15,000 that she disguised as a charitable donation so her daughter could take part in the college entrance-exam cheating scam.
The court documents also revealed that a cooperating witness met with Huffman and her husband, actor William H. Macy, at their Los Angeles home and explained to them that he "controlled" a testing center and could have somebody secretly change her daughter's answers, according to AP. The person told investigators the couple agreed to the plan.

According to the US-based media reports, Hollywood actresses Huffman and Lori Loughlin have been charged along with nearly 50 other people in what the US prosecutors say was a scheme in which wealthy parents paid bribes to get their children into some of the nation's most elite colleges by faking or facilitating ACT/SAT exams.
Moreover, at least nine athletic coaches and 33 parents, many of them prominent in law, finance, fashion, and other fields, were charged. Dozens, including Huffman, the Emmy-winning star, were reportedly arrested by midday.
Several colleges have already released their statements claiming they were “victims” of the bribery scheme, Fox News reported earlier.
US Federal Authorities reportedly called this certain case the biggest college admissions scandal ever prosecuted by the US Justice Department, with the celebrity parents accused of paying nearly $25 million in bribes.
