In the comments following the victory Nurmagomedov said that he would sell the T-shirt from the fight at an auction and invest the money into a charity led by Poirier.
"I know that Dustin is doing charity. I am going to sell this T-shirt and invest the money into the charity fund led by Dustin," Nurmagomedov said as aired by the Russian Channel One.
Poirier's The Good Fight foundation has been raising money for causes around fighter's hometown in Louisiana. The charity's initiatives include construction of a playground for disabled children, buying backpacks for a local school and providing 3,000 meals for a food distribution centre.
