Russia is actively expanding the manufacture and usage of COVID-19 tests that are carried out in 95 laboratories in the country, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister added that quarantined citizens will be obliged to keep a journal where they will report their state of health, and they will also be required to confirm their self-isolation regime.
Russia has reported 2,777 cases of the new coronavirus as well as 24 fatalities as of Wednesday. The nation has moved to impose strict measures to contain the disease, including the introduction of a self-isolation regime in certain regions.
Moscow and Moscow region were the first to mandate that all residents self-isolate; residents may only leave their homes to obtain essentials, work or obtain urgent medical help.
