Former England and Man United captain David Beckham has praised Cristiano Ronaldo, calling him "one of the best players in the last 15 years" amid swirling speculation that the Portuguese superstar is on his way out of Old Trafford this summer."And he is still doing what he does best. Scoring goals and creating, and that's what Cristiano does. Even at his age to be doing what he is doing is incredible. Hopefully it continues and hopefully he stays for another year or two," the current co-owner of American soccer side Inter Miami added.Beckham's remarks come against the backdrop of Erik ten Hag's appointment as United's new manager.Last month, the 20-time English champions announced the Dutchman would take over from Ralf Rangnick at Carrington, starting next season.Several British publications, including The Mirror and The Daily Mail, have claimed that CR7 is not a prominent member in Ten Hag's scheme of things at United as the current Ajax boss is known for backing youngsters to usher in change. However, Beckham is not the first man to speak in such a voice.Interim boss Ralf Rangnick has backed him to complete his tenure at the Manchester-based club because he's still scoring goals for them and continues to be the team's main attacker."Why should he not be part of the squad and help the team?" Rangnick had said last week after the five-time Ballon d'Or powered the Red Devils to a 3-0 victory over Brentford.Despite Rangnick making it known publicly that he was impressed by Ronaldo's display this season, he left Ten Hag to answer questions about the talismanic striker's future in England.Meanwhile, United's campaign went from bad to worse after Rangnick's boys suffered an embarrassing 4-0 defeat at the hands of Brighton on Saturday. The once-mighty club has endured a disastrous campaign, to say the least, having been ousted from the Champions League, the League Cup, and the FA Cup in the early rounds. In the Premier League, they are no longer in contention for a top-four finish and are almost certain to miss out on next season's Champions League.

'What He is Doing is Incredible': David Beckham Lauds Cristiano Ronaldo Amid Man Utd Exit Rumours
08:43 GMT 09.05.2022 (Updated: 11:44 GMT 10.12.2022) Cristiano Ronaldo may have scored the most number of goals (24) for Man United this term, but his future seems to be uncertain at Old Trafford.
Former England and Man United captain David Beckham has praised
Cristiano Ronaldo, calling him "one of the best players in the last 15 years" amid swirling speculation that the Portuguese superstar is on his way out of Old Trafford this summer.
"Obviously, Cristiano is one of the best players over the last 15 years with Leo [Messi]. To see him hopefully staying on at United is important for the fans and important for him. We know how much United means to him," he told Sky Sports.
"And he is still doing what he does best. Scoring goals and creating, and that's what Cristiano does. Even at his age to be doing what he is doing is incredible. Hopefully it continues and hopefully he stays for another year or two," the current co-owner of American soccer side Inter Miami added.
Beckham's remarks come against the backdrop of
Erik ten Hag's appointment as United's new manager.
Last month, the 20-time English champions announced the Dutchman would take over from Ralf Rangnick at Carrington, starting next season.
Several British publications, including The Mirror and The Daily Mail, have claimed that CR7 is not a prominent member in Ten Hag's scheme of things at United as the current Ajax boss is known for backing youngsters to usher in change.
However, Beckham is not the first man to speak in such a voice.
Interim boss
Ralf Rangnick has backed him to complete his tenure at the Manchester-based club because he's still scoring goals for them and continues to be the team's main attacker.
"Why should he not be part of the squad and help the team?" Rangnick had said last week after the five-time Ballon d'Or powered the Red Devils to a 3-0 victory over Brentford.
Despite Rangnick making it known publicly that he was impressed by Ronaldo's display this season, he left Ten Hag to answer questions about the talismanic striker's future in England.
Meanwhile, United's campaign went from bad to worse after Rangnick's boys suffered an embarrassing 4-0 defeat at the hands of Brighton on Saturday.
The once-mighty club has endured a disastrous campaign, to say the least, having been ousted from the Champions League, the League Cup, and the FA Cup in the early rounds.
