Russia's Medvedev Expects Gas Prices in EU at $5,000 Per 1,000 Cubic Metes by End of Year
12:31 GMT 28.08.2022 (Updated: 12:40 GMT 28.08.2022) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev on Sunday said he expected gas prices in the European Union to be at 5,000 euros ($5,000) per thousand cubic meters by the end of 2022.
Earlier in the week, Medvedev predicted that the
price of gas in the EU could reach $4,000 per thousand cubic meters by the end of 2022.
"In connection with the increase in gas prices to 3,500 euros per thousand cubic meters, I am forced to increase the forecast price to 5,000 euros by the end of 2022," Medvedev wrote on Telegram.
