In honor of Space Forces Day, the head of state sent on October 4 a congratulatory telegram to the command, personnel, and veterans, with the text published on the Kremlin's website.
Highlighting the heroic history of the Space Forces, the president also addressed their top priorities.
"Among your main, most important tasks are conducting experimental space work, testing, and also adopting modern high-tech equipment, among which the Angara space rocket complex occupies a top place. It is this complex that will play a key role in providing Russia with independent, guaranteed access to outer space," Putin said in a congratulatory message to the command, personnel and veterans of the space forces.
The Angara is a family of Russian launch vehicles, ranging from light to heavy classes, that utilize environmentally friendly fuel components. These space carriers are designed to launch a variety of payloads, including satellites, spacecraft, and automated interplanetary stations. The most recent launch of this rocket, which was successful, took place on September 17.
