Eric van de Beek is a freelance journalist based in the Netherlands. He studied journalism at Windesheim University in Zwolle and philosophy at the University of Amsterdam. For years, he contributed articles to the economics, finance, science, and culture sections of the leading Dutch weekly Elsevier. In recent years he has concentrated on international politics and published a book about fake news in the Dutch mainstream media. He is critical of unilateralism and military interventions, and a strong supporter of the international rule of law.
