The Russian Economic Development Ministry will present a new methodology for calculating export duties on commodities depending on exchange prices in January-February, Deputy Economic Development Minister Andrei Slepnev said on Friday.
The government has ordered the ministry to present its suggestions on the duties within a month, he told journalists. "We must present them in January-February," he said.
Slepnev said that a new duty would definitely be levied on copper and nickel because it had been already used without being formalized.
The list of commodities would be extended, he said, adding that fertilizers and aluminum were also traded commodities.
