Kazakhstan’s gross domestic product increased 7.5 percent in 2011, Prime Minister Karim Masimov said on Monday.
The government’s official forecast for 2011 is 7 percent.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev recently said GDP would grow 7.3 percent.
National Bank head Grigory Marchenko said in early December the growth would exceed 7 percent.
Masimov also said GDP per capita was about $11,300 in 2011.
In 1993, GDP per capita in Kazakhstan was $700.
