MOSCOW, March 26 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's tax receipts declined 9.6% year-on-year in January-February 2007 to 421.8 billion rubles (about $16.1 billion rubles), the Federal Tax Service said Monday.
Tax receipts declined in the reporting period due to lower global oil prices, the Federal Tax Service said.
The minerals extraction tax and value added tax continued to account for the largest share of tax revenues, representing 35.8% and 35.5% of all taxes collected over the period, although the amount of these taxes collected also declined, the Federal Tax Service said.
