LONDON, May 17 (RIA Novosti) - Portugese police questioned a Russian man as part of an international search for a four-year-old British girl, abducted two weeks ago, the Sky News television channel said Thursday.
Sergei Malinka, 22, who lives in the Portugese resort of Praia da Luz, was questioned and his apartment searched as part of the police investigation. Detectives took away a portable computer and hard drive.
It is suggested that Sergei Malinka could in some way be connected to the main suspect, British national Robert Murat, although police have no direct evidence or clues as to what happened.
Madeleine McCann went missing May 4 from a hotel room after her parents left her asleep while dining in a nearby restaurant in Praia da Luz.
