MOSCOW, June 8 (RIA Novosti) - A potentially powerful bomb has been found in a car stopped and searched outside Moscow, and two people have been detained, a police source said Friday.
"In addition to the explosive device, which consisted of a metal cylinder packed with 700 grams of TNT, police also seized two Kalashnikov automatic rifles and two hand grenades," he said.
He said the suspects were detained Thursday evening in the parking lot of a major shopping center along the Altufyevskoye highway, to the north of the Russian capital, and that an investigation into the source of the explosive was underway.
