MOSCOW, July 18 (RIA Novosti) - A vehicle carrying soldiers has been attacked in Karabulak, in central Ingushetia, injuring one serviceman, a local police spokesman said by telephone Wednesday.
"The attack took place at about 2:15 p.m. Moscow time," the source said. "Unknown people opened up with automatic gun fire on a vehicle carrying federal servicemen. Preliminary reports said there were casualties."
A source in Ingush law enforcement said the servicemen were en route to the 503rd Regiment in a Zhiguli passenger car when the attack occurred.
An investigation has been launched.
