MOSCOW, January 29 (RIA Novosti) - The Moscow City Court will start hearings on the murder of Central Bank Deputy Chairman Andrei Kozlov next Tuesday, a court spokesperson said on Tuesday.

Anna Usachyova said the hearings will be held behind closed doors.

Kozlov, who oversaw bank licensing and led efforts to close down dozens of banks, including over money laundering, was shot dead along with his driver in September 2006.

The main suspect in the case is former banker Alexei Frenkel. He has been in custody since last January.

There are a total of seven suspects in the case, legal materials of which now extend to 72 volumes.

Frenkel, along with restaurant owner Liana Askerova, whose testimony led to his arrest, and Boris Shafrai, a Ukrainian businessman who is believed to have found four killers, are accused of organizing the murder.
